Oddly, the table and a majority of the chairs are intact and upright. The dinnerware is still organized neatly as if the former residents were setting up the table to eat. One of the dining chairs is laying on its side. A leg has been broken off and there was a reddish-brown stain stretching to the living room.
In the dining room, the fridge was empty and oddly clean. Mateo expected there to be decomposed food and mold...Did someone come here before he did and swiped all the food?
